Thoughtfully Sourced. Proudly Served.

Field to Ferry
Field to Ferry celebrates the best of fresh, seasonal produce sourced from carefully selected suppliers. We prioritise local, heritage and family-run businesses-bringing quality ingredients on board with provenance and traceability.
“I’ve been passionate about food since my early days as a chef, where I learned that great dishes start with great ingredients. At DFDS, we bring that belief on board—sourcing quality produce to serve you the very best, from field to ferry.” Dave Lewis, Head of Food & Beverage, DFDS
Cross the Channel, discover local flavours
Sailing the Channel or heading to the Channel Islands? Your DFDS crossing comes with a genuine taste of where you're going.
On our Jersey routes, we champion local producers with real island roots. Coffee is freshly roasted by Rock Roasters, dairy comes from Jersey Dairy's pure-breed Jersey cows, and Homefields supplies fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables. Local bakeries provide the bread for RFresh to make sandwiches and baguettes, while La Collette, our main food supplier, is also based right on the island.
Sailing from Dover to France? We stock products with real provenance and heritage. Look out for Kent Crisps, Stokes Sauces from Suffolk, Proper Cornish pasties, and Marshfield Ice Cream, a family farm producing award-winning British ice cream for over 35 years. And if fish and chips are on your mind, we proudly serve Harry Ramsden's, a name synonymous with quality and tradition.
Wherever you're headed, every bite and sip tell the story of the places we connect.
A taste of where you're heading
Wherever you're sailing, your journey comes with a taste of the destination. At DFDS, we partner with trusted local suppliers on each route, so the food and drink you enjoy on board tells the story of the places you're travelling between.
Sailing between Amsterdam and Newcastle? We bake our bread fresh on board every day, serve fish landed by Waasdorp right on the IJmuiden quayside, and source fruit and vegetables from Meeder in Rotterdam.
On our Dieppe-Newhaven route, discover French flavours from Pomona Terre Azur produce, Brasserie De Sutter beers, So Chips crisps, and gluten-free dishes from Vrai et Bon.
Travelling the Baltics? Through our partner Sanitex, we bring you Lithuanian favourites: Food Haus meatballs, Biovela meats, and spirits from Pakruojo Dvaro distillery.
Fresh, local, and full of character, it's the first taste of your trip.

Meet the people behind your plate
Great food starts with great people. Across every route, we work hand in hand with local growers, bakers, brewers, and producers who care about quality as much as we do.
They do far more than deliver ingredients. They work closely with us to meet our standards for taste, consistency, and freshness, so every dish reflects real skill and genuine passion.
From family businesses to artisan makers, each supplier brings their own story, their own region, and their own expertise to your table. It's culinary storytelling you can taste, and a simple, feel-good way to support the communities we sail to and from.
Get to know the names, faces, and flavours that make every crossing something to savour.
Quality you can trust, from source to sea
We choose our ingredients with care. That means working with suppliers who meet our high standards for quality, provenance, and full traceability, so you know where the food and drink you enjoy on board comes from.
From the first selection to the final plate, we follow a thorough process to bring you the very best, giving you confidence that your first taste of the destination is authentic, considered, and something to enjoy.
